This highest-quality Hi-Fi cable features two 2,5-mm2 high quality BC Copper (low levels of iron and magnesium) inner conductors, many isolating layers of LPDE and PVC covered with thick nylon mesh fabric, allows perfect signal quality and the great protection from mechanical interruptions without losing flexibility.

Gas Injection is a new technology used for producing the physical foam dielectric of coaxial cables.

Before the introduction of such a technology the blowing up of the foam Low Density PE dielectric insulation had to be done by chemical powders, blended together with Low density solid polyethylene (LDPE) which, under the effect of extrusion temperature decomposed the powders into gas.

This method limited the mechanical strength of the dielectric and jeopardised the life of the relative attenuation values. This applies particularly to cables installed in very damp environments.

An insulation made of nitrogen gas physically injected into High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) produces a foam dielectric granting the better mechanical, electrical and ageing performances than the chemical dielectric and almost equivalent to the solid polyethylene dielectric.

This is particularly beneficial where a coaxial cable is exposed to crushing, squashing and several bending manoeuvres during installation. The gas injected dielectric also ensures a better life span and stable attenuation values. In accordance with IEC 68-2-3 requirements which prescribes an ageing test of 21 days at 40АC and relative humidity of 93%, checks have shown that attenuation increases less than 5% over original values.
